how we are funded
Funding for the development of the Keeping Safe Packs has been provided through the South Devon and Dartmoor Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership and the Safer Devon Partnership, both of which are multi-agency partnerships aiming to reduce crime and disorder.
However, although this funding has enabled the Keeping Safe booklets to be developed we were reliant on a £200,000 Big Lottery bid in order to roll out the booklets and resource packs throughout Devon and Cornwall. Unfortunately our bid was unsuccessful, therefore, we need to find ways to secure the necessary funding so that we can engage with those with learning disabilities, together with their carers, relatives and support groups/agencies in order that good use is made of the Keeping Safe Packs. We are hopeful that partners engaged in this project will be able to fund booklets relating to their particular area of responsibility.
The Keeping Safe Pack Steering Group would be keen to hear from anyone who has any ideas of funding sources or feel they can help in some way in the roll out of the PIP Packs.
